Give a few hours a month
Most of this work is carried by people with full-time jobs who give an evening a week. Tell us what you can offer and we will match you to something live — not a waiting list.
What volunteers actually do
You do not need a public sector background. You do need to be willing to work on someone else’s problem rather than your portfolio.
Research support
Note-taking on field visits, transcription, translation into and out of Urdu, Sindhi, Pashto, Punjabi and Balochi, and help making sense of what came back.
Design & writing
Redrawing a form, rewriting an SMS, laying out a report, or building a prototype a team can test next week.
Mentoring a cohort team
An hour a fortnight with a team of students working a live brief — the single most requested role we have.
Critique & review
Reading a blueprint or research plan before it goes to a partner, and saying the hard thing while it is still cheap to fix.
Facilitation
Running a workshop or a framing session, especially with mixed rooms of citizens, staff and officials.
Events
Helping run workshops, meet-ups and UX Pakistan — logistics, hosting, photography, documentation.
Matched to a live need, not a mailing list
We would rather ask you once, for something specific, than send you a monthly newsletter you scroll past.
Tell us what you can offer
Your skills, your languages, your city, and how many hours a month is realistic.
A short conversation
Twenty minutes to understand what you would enjoy and where you would be most useful.
We come to you with something real
A named task on a named project, with a scope and a deadline. Say no whenever the timing is wrong.
Credited, and kept in the loop
Volunteers are named in project write-ups and get the findings, not just the thank-you.
Tell us what you can offer
Send us your skills, languages, city and realistic hours. If you are a student, say so — several of our cohort alumni started as volunteers.
